WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont owns property described as Lots 172 and 183,
Block 38, of the Beaumont Townsite Subdivision, Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to establish a 10' x 134' general utility easement on
said property adjacent to the existing west right-of-way line of Pearl near College Street,
as described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibits "B" and "C" attached hereto, for the
purpose of allowing Entergy to remove two (2) existing power poles and Time Warner
Cable to relocate fiber optic cable; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose of establishing said
easement and is of the opinion that the easement is necessary and desirable and that
same should be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the 10' x 134' general utility easement, as described in Exhibit "A" and shown on
Exhibits "B" and "C," be and the same is hereby, in all things, established.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 29th day of

Ten Foot Utility Easement
Being a .03076 acre (1,340 square feet) of land, situated in Lot 172 and Lot 183, Block 38 of the
Beaumont Townsite Subdivision in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said lot 172;
THENCE North 43d 34' 46" West, one hundred thirty four feet (134.00') along the East
boundary line of said lot 172 to a point for corner;
THENCE South 46d 25' 14" West, ten feet (10.00') along a line parallel with and fourteen feet
(14.00') North of the South boundary line of said lot 183 to a point for corner;
THENCE South 43d 34'46" East, one hundred thirty four feet (134.00') to a point for corner
located on the South boundary line of said lot 172;
THENCE North 46d 34'46" East, ten feet (10.00') along the South boundary line of said lot 172
to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing .03076 acres of land, more or less.
