WHEREAS, the lawsuit styled Brandon Pickard v. City/of Beaumont. Texas, et al
was discussed in Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, May 11,2010;and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit styled
Brandon Pickard v. City of Beaumont. Texas, et al;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit styled
Brandon Pickard v. City of Beaumont. Texas, et al for the sum of Forty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($45,000).
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 18th day of May,
2010.
