WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
sodium hydroxide for use by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, FSTI, Inc., of Austin, Texas, submitted a bid for an estimated amount
of $113,700 as shown below:
UNIT PRICE PER DRY TON TOTAL PRICE 500 DRY TONS
$227.40 $113,700
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by FSTI, Inc., of
Austin, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by FSTI, Inc., of Austin, Texas, fora six(6) month contract for the
purchase of sodium hydroxide for use by the Water Utilities Department in the unit
amounts as shown above for an estimated amount of$113,700 be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 9th day of
March, 2010.
