ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE BUDGETED
PROPERTY TAX INCREASE REFLECTED IN THE FY 2010
BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the proposed FY 2010 budget will raise more total property taxes than
last year's budget by $1,396,000 or 3.55%; and,
WHEREAS, the adoption of a budget that will raise more revenue from property
taxes than in the previous year requires a vote separate from and in addition to the vote
to adopt the budget;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That the property tax increase reflected in the budget which will raise more total
property taxes than last year's budget by $1,396,000 be and the same is hereby, by
separate vote, ratified.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
September, 2009.
