WHEREAS, the lawsuit styled Douglas Manning et al v. City of Beaumont (Donna
Manning) was discussed in Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday,
September 8, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit styled
Douglas Manning, et al v. City of Beaumont (Donna Manning);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit styled
Douglas Manning, et al v. City of Beaumont(Donna Manning)for the sum of Two Hundred
One Thousand Dollars ($201,000).
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
September, 2009.
