WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for the Wastewater Treatment Plant
Emergency Generators Project to install one (1) 1.5 megawatt and one (1) 1.0 megawatt
generators manufactured by Mustang/Caterpillar purchased by the City through the
BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Program and to furnish and install two (2) 750 watt
portable generators manufactured by Stewart and Stevenson for the Cattail Marsh
Wetlands; and,
WHEREAS, C. F. McDonald Electric, Inc.,of Houston,Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of$1,205,679.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by C. F. McDonald
Electric, Inc., of Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by C. F. McDonald Electric, Inc., in the amount of$1,205,679.00
for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Emergency Generators Project be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
March, 2009.
