WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six(6)month contract for the purchase of water
treatment chemicals for use by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS,the following vendors submitted bids for an estimated total expenditure
of $34,602.75 in the unit amounts shown below:

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Pencco, Inc.,
of San Felipe, Texas, for the purchase of fluorosilicic acid and Harcros Chemicals of
Pasadena, Texas, for the purchase of aqua ammonia in the unit prices shown above for
an estimated total expenditure of$34,602.75 should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Pencco, Inc., San Felipe, Texas, for the purchase of
fluorosilicic acid and Harcros Chemicals, Pasadena, Texas, for the purchase of aqua
ammonia in the unit prices shown above for an estimated total expenditure of$34,602.75
be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
March, 2009.
