WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
Aluminum Sulfate for use by the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS,Altivia Corporation of Houston,Texas,submitted a bid for an estimated
amount of$150,000 as shown below:
Estimated Quantity Unit Price Total Price
600 Dry Ton $250 $150,000
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Altivia
Corporation of Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Altivia Corporation of Houston, Texas, for a six (6) month
contract for the purchase of Aluminum Sulfate for use by the Water Utilities Department
in the unit amounts as shown above for an estimated amount of$150,000 be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 27th day of
January, 2009.
