WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a six (6) month contract for the purchase of
ready-mix concrete and cement stabilized base for use by the Water Utilities and Public
Works Departments; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the unit amounts
shown below for an estimated expenditure of$59,850:

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the proposal submitted by Transit
Mix of Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix for a six-month contract for the purchase of ready-
mix concrete and cement stabilized base in the unit amounts shown above for an
estimated expenditure of $59,850 for use by the Water Utilities and Public Works
Departments be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13th day of
January, 2009.
