WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a three (3) month contract for the purchase of
two hundred (200)tons of Sodium Hydroxide for use by the Water Utilities Department to
purify the City's water supply; and,
WHEREAS, FSTI, Inc., of Manor, Texas, submitted a bid at the fixed unit rate of
$1,043 per ton for a total cost $208,600; and;
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by FSTI, Inc., of
Manor, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by FSTI, Inc., of Manor, Texas, for the purchase of 200 tons of
Sodium Hydroxide at the fixed unit rate of $1,043 per ton for a total cost of$208,600 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 4th day of
November, 2008.
