WHEREAS, the claim of Joe Carter has been discussed in an Executive Session
properly called and held Tuesday, April 24, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the claim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to settle the claim of Joe Carter in
the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000).
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 26th day of
August, 2008.
