WHEREAS, on January 8, 2008, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 08-005 awarding a contract in the amount of $1,700,059 to T.
Johnson Industries, Inc. for the Proposed New Water Well No. 2 and Related Pilot Hole
Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required to furnish all labor, materials, and
equipment to provide testing of the well header piping as specified, furnish all labor,
materials, and equipment to provide additional well disinfection, furnish and install,
complete in place, one(1)24"flanged gate valve for the existing 24"transmission line, and
to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for cementing between the 26" casing and
the 20" liner pipe, from the top of gravel to ground surface, increasing the contract amount
by $88,866.14 thereby increasing the contract amount to $1,788,925.14;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1
increasing the contract amount by$88,866.14 for a total amount of$1,788,925.14 for the
Proposed New Water Well No. 2 and Related Pilot Hole Project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 17th day of
June, 2008.
