WHEREAS, on September 18, 2007, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, passed Resolution No. 07-282 awarding a contract in the amount of$330,288 to
Gowan, Inc., Vidor, Texas, for the Air Handler Replacements at City Hall; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order Numbers 1, 2 and 3, are required as shown below:
Change Order No. 1 $4,500
Provide for reinstallation of the hot gas piping and control.
Change Order No. 2 $6,602
Provide for the installation of roof curbs to seal the supply and return air ducts.
Change Order No. 3 $14,300
Provide additional electrical work, reconfiguring controls to be compatible with the
new unit, and repairing refrigerant leaks in the existing condensing units.
The total amount of$25,402 for these three change orders increases the contract
amount to $355,690.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order Numbers
1, 2 and 3 in the amount of $25,402 thereby increasing the contract to a total amount of
$355,690 for the Air Handler Replacements at City Hall.
