WHEREAS, bids were received for a six-(6) month contract for the purchase of
sodium hydroxide for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities Division; and,
WHEREAS, Skyhawk Chemicals, Inc., Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $237 per dry ton at a total estimated cost of $71,100; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Skyhawk
Chemicals, Inc., Houston, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Skyhawk Chemicals, Inc., Houston, Texas in the amount of
$237 per dry ton at a total estimated cost of$71,100 for the purchase of sodium hydroxide
for use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities Division, be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.
