DG " ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE FINDING CERTAIN STRUCTURES TO BE PUBLIC NUISANCES AND ORDERING THEIR DEMOLITION, RENOVATION AND REMOVAL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Beaumont hereby finds and declares the buildings located at: 10. 1115 Center 26. 2485 McFaddin (Apartments) 11. 1692 Corley (Commercial) 27. 955 Nolan (Garage Apartment) 12. 2060 Corley 28. 1832 Nora 13. 1848 Delaware 29. 4002-04 Ogden 14. 2340 Delaware 30. 3385 Quinn (Garage) 15. 1315 Evalon (Front Structure) 31. 440 Royal 16. 1315 Evalon (Rear Structure) 32. 450-52 Royal 17. 695 S. Fourth (Commercial) 33. 7630 San Carlos 18. 850 Fulton 34. 426 San Jacinto 19. 3192 Grand (Garage Apartment) 35. 3225 St. James 20. 1051-53 Magnolia (Commercial) 36. 2121 Texas (Garage) 21. 1378 Magnolia 37. 770 Van Buren 22. 1392-94 Magnolia 38. 3115 Waverly 23. 3526 Magnolia (Commercial) 39. 3245 Westmoreland 24. 3530 Magnolia (Commercial) 40. 3325 Westmoreland 25. 3530-B Magnolia (Commercial) 41. 3602 Westmoreland to be public nuisances in that said buildings violate Chapter 14, Section 14-50 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont and are for want of repairs, or by reason of age or dilapidated condition, likely to cause or promote fires that would endanger persons or property. Section 2. In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, Section 10-2 and 14-52 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of the following described buildings demolish and remove said structures within ten (10) days of the effective date of this ordinance: 10. 1115 Center 27. 955 Nolan (Garage Apartment) 11. 1692 Corley (Commercial) 28. 1832 Nora 12. 2060 Corley 29. 4002-04 Ogden 13. 1848 Delaware 31. 440 Royal 14. 2340 Delaware 32. 450-52 Royal 15. 1315 Evalon (Front Structure) 33. 7630 San Carlos 16. 1315 Evalon (Rear Structure) 34. 426 San Jacinto 17. 695 S. Fourth (Commercial) 35. 3225 St. James 18. 850 Fulton 36. 2121 Texas (Garage) 19. 3192 Grand (Garage Apartment) 37. 770 Van Buren 20. 1051-53 Magnolia (Commercial) 38. 3115 Waverly 23. 3526 Magnolia (Commercial) 39. 3245 Westmoreland 24. 3530 Magnolia (Commercial) 40. 3325 Westmoreland 25. 3530-B Magnolia (Commercial) If the property owner fails to comply within ten (10) days, Council orders that the property be demolished without further notification to the property owner(s) or City Council action. Section 3. In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, Section 10- 2 and 14-52 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of the following described buildings raze or repair said structures within forty-five (45) days of the effective date of this ordinance: 30. 3385 Quinn (Garage) The owner is ordered to enter into a work program concerning the structure within seven (7) days of the date of this ordinance. If the owners fail or refuse to enter into a work program or repair or demolish the structure within the time limit set herein, the City is authorized to demolish the structure without further Council action. Section 4. In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, Section 10-2 and 14-52 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of the following described buildings raze or repair said structures within sixty (60) days of the effective date of this ordinance: 9. 3090 Washington Blvd.(Commercial) 41. 3602 Westmoreland The owner is ordered to enter into a work program concerning the structure within seven (7) days of the date of this ordinance. If the owners fail or refuse to enter into a work program or repair or demolish the structure within the time limit set herein, the City is authorized to demolish the structure without further Council action. Section 5 . In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, Section 10-2 and 14-52 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of the following described buildings raze or repair said structures within ninety (90) days of the effective date of this ordinance: 5. 655 Madison (Front) The owner is ordered to enter into a work program concerning the structure within seven (7) days of the date of this ordinance. If the owners fail or refuse to enter into a work program or repair or demolish the structure within the time limit set herein, the City is authorized to demolish the structure without further Council action. Section 6 . In accordance with Article XVII, Section 2, of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, Section 10-2 and 14-52 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and Section 103.4 of the Standard Building Code, it is hereby ordered that the owner or owners of the following described buildings raze or repair said structures within one-hundred twenty (120) days of the effective date of this ordinance: 1. 2495 Angelina 22. 1392-94 Magnolia 21. 1378 Magnolia 26. 2485 McFaddin The owner is ordered to enter into a work program concerning the structure within seven (7) days of the date of this ordinance. If the owners fail or refuse to enter into a work program or repair or demolish the structure within the time limit set herein, the City is authorized to demolish the structure without further Council action. Section 7 . The following structures were previously declared to be dangerous by the City Council and are hereby ordered to be demolished without further notice to the owners: 2. 2175 Albany 7. 1325 Prince (Front) 4. 3865 Lou 8. 1325 Prince (Rear) 6. 820 Pipkin Section 8 . That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance and, to such end, the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 9. That any person who violated any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
