WHEREAS, on September 18, 2007, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, passed Resolution No. 07-281 awarding a contract in the amount of $457,000 to
Bruce*s General Construction, Beaumont,Texas,to furnish all labor, materials,equipment
and supplies to renovate the 2nd and 3rd floors of City Hall; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $58,391.06 was required to
include carpet for the 1 st floor of City Hall to receive a greater discount thereby increasing
the contract amount to $515,391.06; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $23,588.19 is required for
additional electrical work to accommodate the data and cabling installation thereby
increasing the contract amount to $538,979.25;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2
increasing the contract amount by$23,588.19 fora total amount of$538,979.25 to include
additional electrical work to accommodate the data and cabling installation.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13th day of
November, 2007.
