WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the purchase of three(3)natural gas-fired boilers
for installation at the Police building; and,
WHEREAS, J. L. Powell and Associates, Inc. of Houston, Texas, submitted a bid
in the amount of$15,996 each for a total expenditure of $47,988; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by J. L. Powell and
Associates, Inc. of Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by J. L. Powell and Associates, Inc. of Houston, Texas, for the
purchase of three (3) P-K Thermific boilers, Model D-1700 as manufactured by Patterson-
Kelley, for installation at the Police building in the amount of $15,996 each for a total
expenditure of$47,988 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13th day of
November, 2007.
