WHEREAS, bids were received for a six (6)- month contract to purchase asphaltic
concrete for the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS,APAC-Texas, Inc., Beaumont,Texas, submitted a bid foran estimated
total of $669,000 in the unit amounts shown below:
Description Plant Pickup Job Site Delivery
Hot Laid Concrete $58.50 /ton $64.15 /ton
Cold Laid Concrete $71.25 /ton $75.50 /ton
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by APAC-Texas,
Inc., Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc., Beaumont, Texas, for a six (6)-month
contract in the unit amounts shown above for an estimated total of$669,000 to purchase
asphaltic concrete for the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 17th day of July,
2007.
