ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A 20' x 50'
PORTION OF AN ALLEY AND THE RETENTION OF AN
EASEMENT BETWEEN LOTS 4 AND 9, BLOCK 29, CALDER
ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT a 20' x 50' portion of an alley between Lots 4 and 9, Block 29, extending from the
west lot line of Lots 4 and 9 to what is the southeast corner of Lot 4 and the northeast
corner of Lot 9, Block 29, Calder Addition, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
containing acres, more or less, as shown on Exhibit"A" attached hereto, be and the same
are hereby vacated and abandoned subject to the following conditions:
• Retain a 20'x 50'wide easement for that portion of the abandoned
alley or relocate the existing facilities at the applicant's expense.
• Prohibit structures within the easement.
• Water Utilities not responsible for any surface restoration when
sanitary sewer main repairs are necessary.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 24th day of April,
2007.
