WHEREAS, the lawsuit styled Southwestern Bell v The City of Beaumont was
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, December 19,2006;

WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit styled
Southwestern Bell v The City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit styled
Southwestern Bell v The City of Beaumont for the sum of Eighty-Thousand ($80,000)
Dollars.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 9th day of
January, 2006.
