WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract to furnish all materials, labor,
supervision and equipment to replace the roof at City Hall which sustained wind damage
during Hurricane Rita; and,
WHEREAS, Mike Barnett Construction, Port Neches, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of$212,815; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Mike Barnett
Construction, Port Neches, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mike Barnett Construction, Port Neches, Texas, in the amount
of $212,815 for a contract to furnish all materials, labor, supervision and equipment to
replace the roof at City Hall which sustained wind damage during Hurricane Rita be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
October, 2006.
