WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1)year contract for the purchase of sand
cement for use by the Public Works and Water Utilities Departments; and,
WHEREAS,Quality Concrete and Materials Co., Beaumont,Texas,submitted a bid
in the unit cost amounts shown below for an estimated total expenditure for the contract
period of$220,000:

WHEREAS,City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Quality Concrete
and Materials Co., Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Qaulity Concrete and Materials Co., Beaumont,Texas,for sand
cement in the unit cost amounts shown above for an estimated total expenditure for the
contract period of$220,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
