WHEREAS, on June 14, 2006, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 06-185 awarding a contract in the amount of $2,778,000 to
Landmark Structures, Fort Worth, Texas, for the Proposed 2 MG Elevated Water Tank at
the Dishman Road Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, is required to extend the length of auger piles
from 70 feet to 85 feet, increase the number of piles from 102 to 132 and increase the size
of the piles cap, reduce the size of the overflow line from 24 inches to 16 inches, reduce
the size of the drain line from 24 inches to 12 inches and reduce the size of the access
tube from 6 feet to 5 feet thereby increasing the contract amount by $114,489 which
increases the total contract amount to $2,892,489.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1
increasing the contract amount by$114,489 for a total amount of$2,892,489 for Proposed
2 MG Elevated Water Tank at the Dishman Road Project.
