WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of limestone
base material for use by the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix Concrete & Materials, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid
at the unit costs shown below for a total estimated expenditure of$190,000:

Limestone Base, FOB Plant - Florida Ave. $23.70/to
Limestone Base, FOB Jobsite $28.70 /to
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix
Concrete & Materials, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete & Materials, Beaumont, Texas, for an
annual contract for the purchase of limestone base material for use by the Public Works
Department, Streets and Drainage Division at the unit costs shown above for a total
estimated expenditure of $190,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
August, 2006.
