WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and
supplies necessary to construct a new 4,500 square foot Convention and Visitors Bureau
building at the corner of Willow and McFaddin Streets; and,
WHEREAS, H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of$1,267,082;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by H. B. Neild &
Sons, Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc., in the amount of $1,267,082, for
furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to construct a new 4,500
square foot Convention and Visitors Bureau building at the corner of Willow and McFaddin
Streets be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 18th day of July,
2006.
