WHEREAS, on March 30, 2006, the City of Beaumont received bids for the sale of
City-owned surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont received bids from the following bidders in the
amounts shown:
PURCHASER: Outreach Deliverance Church & Ministries
AMOUNT: $500.00

Address: 2000 Oakland
Legal: Hanks Addition, Lot 3 Block 1
Zoning: LI Light Industrial
PURCHASER: Joseph Strauch
AMOUNT: $500.50

Address: 1004-1010 Forrest Street
Legal: Jirou Addition, Lot 7, Block 17
Zoning: RS Residential
and,
WHEREAS,the land is no longer needed for the use of citizens as a road, nor does
it have a potential for park, conservation, recreation or similar purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont wishes to sell the above properties as shown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Special Warranty
Deeds for the sale of the above-described properties as shown.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 18th day of April,

Attached is a copy of a Special Warranty Deed conveyed with the authority of Resolution No. 06-
103:
1. 2000 block Oakland: The City of Beaumont conveyed to the Outreach
Deliverance Church & Ministries, property located on the 2000 block of
Oakland Street and described as being Lot 3, Block 1 of the Hanks Addition
to the City of Beaumont.
The original instrument was delivered to the purchaser of the property.

consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, has GRANTED,
SOLD and CONVEYED, and by these presents does GRANT, SELL and CONVEY unto the
OUTREACH DELIVERANCE CHURCH&MINISTRIES, hereinafter called GRANTEE, of
the County of Jefferson, State of Texas, whose mailing address is 4730 Magnolia Avenue,
Beaumont, Texas 77703, all those certain tracts or parcels of land in the County of Jefferson,
Texas, said tract of land being more particularly,described as follows:
Being Lot Three(3), Block 1, of the Hanks Addition, an addition to the City of
Beaumont,Jefferson County, Texas,according to the map or plat of record in the
office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, by virtue of a deed from
the McFaddin Trust to Osby (Ousby) Kirkwood, Jr., dated October 14, 19475
recorded in Volume 679, Page 449 of the Deed Records, and conveyed to the
City ofBeaumont on November 16, 1976, in Volume 1967,Page 103 of the Real
Property Records in the office of the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas.
This conveyance is subject to any restrictive covenants,outstanding mineral interests and
easements affecting the property above described.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises together with all and singular
the rights and appurtenances thereto and in any wise belonging, unto the said GRANTEE and
GRANTEE'S successors and assigns, forever; and said GRANTOR bind himself and his
successors and assigns to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the
said GRANTEE and GRANTEE'S successors or assigns, against every person whomsoever
lawfully claiming or to claim all or any part of the property, subject to the provisions stated
above, when the claim is by, through, or under GRANTOR but not otherwise.
