WHEREAS, on December 20, 2005, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, passed Resolution No. 05-273 awarding a contract in the amount of$154,000 to
McInnis Construction for the Theodore R. John's Sr. Library Repair Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$21,741.80 is required to replace
the flourescent light fixture ballasts and several rusted suspension grids thereby increasing
the contract amount to $175,741.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 1
increasing the contract amount by $21,741.80 for a total amount of$175,741.80 for the
Theodore R. Johns' Sr. Library Repair Project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 28th day of
March, 2006.
