WHEREAS, bids were received for the Florida Street Lift Station Rehabilitation
Project; and
WHEREAS, Placo, Ltd., submitted a bid in the amount of$540,904.14; and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Placo, Ltd.,
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Placo, Ltd., for the Florida Street Lift Station Rehabilitation
Project in the amount of$540,904.14 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Placo, Ltd., of Lumberton, Texas, in the amount of $540,904.14
for the Florida Street Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 7" day of
February, 2006.
