WHEREAS, bids were received for a policy for excess workers' compensation
insurance; and,
WHEREAS,McGriff,Seibels and Williams of Texas, Inc.,submitted a bid asfollows:
$76,500 Annual flat rate based on the 2006 projected payroll of
$55,122,500 for the first year
$.138 Per $100 of payroll for the optional renewal of two (2)
additional years
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by McGriff, Seibels
and Williams of Texas, Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by McGriff, Seibels and Williams of Texas, Inc., for a policy for
excess workers' compensation insurance in the amount shown above be accepted by the
City of Beaumont. The policy is effective January 1, 2006 for one year with an option to
renew two (2) additional years at the same guaranteed rate.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13th day of
December, 2005.
