WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of limestone
base material for use by the Public Works Department, Street and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix Concrete & Materials, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid
in the unit amounts shown below for an estimated expenditure of$130,000:

FUmEestone Bas e, FOB Plant- Florida Avenue $16.50 stn Base, FOB Jobsite $19.50
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix
Concrete & Materials, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete& Materials, Beaumont, Texas, in the unit
costs shown above, for an estimated expenditure of$130,000, for an annual contract for
the purchase of limestone base material for use by the Public Works Department, Street
and Drainage Division be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 16th day of
August, 2005.
