WHEREAS, bids were received fora one (1)year contract forthe purchase of sand
cement for use by the Public Works and Water Utilities Departments; and,
WHEREAS,Quality Concrete and Materials Co., Beaumont,Texas, submitted a bid
in the unit prices shown below:

5,000 tons 1 sack sand cement $11.00
1,000 tons 1 Y2 sack sand cement $13.00
2,000 tons 2 sack sand cement $15.00
1,000 tons 2 Yz sack sand cement $17.00
1,000 tons 3 sack sand cement $19.00
1,000 tons 3 Yz sack sand cement $21.00
1,000 tons 4 sack sand cement $23.00
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Quality Concrete
and Materials Co. p
Beaumont Texas, should be acce ted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted in the unit amounts shown above for an estimated cost of
$178,000 by Quality Concrete and Materials Co., Beaumont, Texas, for a one (1) year
contract for the purchase of sand cement for use by the Public Works and Water Utilities
Departments be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 12th day of July,
