WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has no objection to the disposal of surplus
property as described below and in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
Address: 400 block Elm Street
Legal: Sheffield Addition - Block 3, Lots 1 - 6
Zoning: LI - Light Industrial
Purchaser: Maurice James Newman
Amount: $3,609
and,
WHEREAS, the land is no longer needed for the use of citizens as a road, nor does
it have a potential for park, conservation, recreation or similar purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a General Warranty
Deed to Maurice James Newman for the sale of above-described property as shown.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 12th day of July,
2005.
