Cooper, City Attorney Kyle Hayes, City Manager Rose Ann Jones, City Clerk The City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met in a regular session on August 9, 2005, at the City Hall Council Chambers, 801 Main Street, Beaumont, Texas, at 1:30 p.m. to consider the following: OPENING Invocation Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call Presentations and Recognition Public Comment: Persons may speak on Consent Agenda Item A Consent Agenda Mayor Goodson called the council meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. Mayor Pro Tern Samuel gave the invocation. Garrett James Crooks, son of Beaumont Police Officer Sgt. Crooks led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was made by Rose Ann Jones, City Clerk. Present at the meeting were Mayor Goodson, Mayor Pro Tern Samuel, Councilmembers Smith, Beaulieu, Cokinos, Ames and Patterson. Also present were Kyle Hayes, City Manager; Tyrone Cooper, City Attorney; Rose Ann Jones, City Clerk. Proclamations, Presentations, Recognitions Presentation by Humane Society to Beaumont Police Department, Animal Cruelty Division - Presentation by Cindy Myers and Deny McKuster; accepted by Officers Mike Manning, Joyce Keene and Sgt. Crooks Public Comment: Persons may speak on Consent Agenda Item A None CONSENT AGENDA Approval of minutes - Minutes of August 2, 2005 Confirmation of committee appointments - None A) Approve a bid for the remounting of one (1) EMS ambulance box onto a new cab and chassis - Resolution 05-170 Minutes-August 9,2005 I Councilmember Coki nos made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda. Councilmember Ames seconded the motion.
