HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 05-150 RESOLUTION NO. 05-150 WHEREAS, Sigmor Corporation, through their agent ATC Associates, Inc., has requested the City of Beaumont to allow them to encroach on street rights-of-way to install two (2) groundwater monitoring wells to delineate groundwater contamination at the following locations as depicted on Exhibit"A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes: No. 1: encroaching onto the City's right-of-way, near the southeast corner of Pope and Concord, twenty (20) feet east of the intersection along Pope Street and four to six (4-6) feet from the edge of pavement on the south side of Pope. No. 2: encroaching onto the City's right-of-way, on the West side of Concord Road, approximately one hundred sixty (160) feet south of the intersection of Concord and Dogwood and eight to ten (8-10) feet south of the edge of pavement of Concord. and, WHEREAS City staff has expended considerable time and effort in investigating the effect of such encroachment upon the City and utilities serving the same; and, WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow such encroachment at this time; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a License to Encroach to Sigmor Corporation to encroach on the above-referenced street rights-of-way to install two (2) groundwater monitoring wells to delineate groundwater contamination at the locations shown above and as depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, for a one-time fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500).
