The City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met in a regular session on May 3, 2005, at the
City Hall Council Chambers, 801 Main Street, Beaumont, Texas, at 1:30 p.m. to consider the
following:
OPENING

Public Comment: Persons may speak on scheduled agenda items /Consent Agenda
Consent Agenda
Mayor Lord called the council meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
Tyrone Cooper, City Attorney gave the invocation. Mayor Evelyn Lord led the pledge of
Allegiance. Roll call was made by Tina Brroussard, Deputy City Clerk.
Present at the meeting were Mayor Lord, Mayor Pro Tern Ames (arrived at 1:41 p.m.),
Councilmembers Smith, Beaulieu (arrived at 1:40 p.m.), Cokinos, Patterson and Samuel. Also
present were Kyle Hayes, City Manager; Tyrone Cooper, City Attorney; Tina Broussard, Deputy
City Clerk.
CONSENT AGENDA
Approval of minutes -April 26, 2005
Councilmember Smith moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Councilmember Beaulieu
seconded the motion.
AYES: MAYOR LORD, MAYOR PRO TEM AMES, COUNCILMEMBERS SMITH,
BEAULIEU, COKINOS, PATTERSON AND SAMUEL
NAYS: NONE
MOTION PASSED
Council went into Executive Session at 1:43 p.m.

Consider matters related to employment, evaluation and duties of a public officer or
employee in accordance with Section 551.074 of the Government Code:

There being no action taken in Executive Session, Council adjourned.
