WHEREAS, on January 11, 2005, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to LD Construction, in the amount of $164,880.95 for the Haul Road
Project at the Landfill; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$18,480 is required for additional
aggregate, emulsion prime coat and replacement of the type of chip seal rock from ASTM
GR-3 to ASTM GR-7 rock, thereby increasing the contract amount to $183,360.95.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 1
to the Haul Road Project at the Landfill in the amount of$18,480 for additional aggregate,
emulsion prime coat and replacement of the type of chip seal rock from ASTM GR-3 to
ASTM GR-7 rock increasing the contract amount to $183,360.95.
