WHEREAS, on April 27, 2004, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to Bruce's General Construction, Inc., in the amount of$184,313 for
Improvements to Sprott Park, Central Park, and Rogers Park; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$6,000 is required for substitution
of factory-made manifolds thereby decreasing the contract amount to $178,313 ; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of$1,780 is required for credit of
$720 on concrete used and an additional $2,500 charge for new sidewalk thereby
increasing the contract amount to $180,093
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
2 for Improvements to Sprott Park, Central Park, and Rogers Park in the amount of$1,780
for credit of $720 on concrete used and an additional $2,500 charge for new sidewalk
thereby increasing the contract amount to$180,093. The project,as stated above, be and
the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make
final payment in the amount of$9,004.65 to be paid to Bruce's General Construction, Inc.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
March, 2005.
