WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1) year contract for the purchase of
ready-mix concrete and stabilized base for use by the Water Utilities Division and Public
Works Departments; and,
WHEREAS, Quality Concrete and Materials, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid for
ready-mix concrete in the unit prices as shown below:

Delivery charge - 1/4 to 2 cu. yd.load, per $75.00

per occurrence (est. 90 occurrences)
3,000 PSI - City pickup at plant (400 yds.) $50.00 /cu.yd.

WHEREAS,Transit Mix Concrete, Beaumont, submitted a bid for cement stabilized
base in the unit price as shown below:

WHEREAS,City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Quality Concrete
and Materials, Beaumont, Texas, and Transit Mix Concrete, Beaumont, Texas should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids as shown above submitted by Quality Concrete and Materials, Beaumont,
Texas, and Transit Mix Concrete, Beaumont, Texas, for a one (1) year contract for the
purchase of ready mix concrete and cement stabilized base for use by the Water Utilities
Division and Public Works Departments be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
March, 2005.
