HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 05-027 ORDINANCE NO. 05-027 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A 545' PORTION OF EAST LAVACA LOCATED IN THE J. W. BULLOCK SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 7, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS AND PROVIDING FOR THE RETENTION OF A 60' GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT a 545' portion of East Lavaca Street, located in the J. W. Bullock Survey, Abstract No. 7, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as shown on Exhibits "A," "B" and "C" attached hereto, be and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned and that title to such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law, subject to the retention of a 60' general utility easement. Lord - LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCES PURPOSES BEING a 0.7183 acre tract or parcel of land situated in the J. W. Bullock Survey, Abstract No. 7, Jefferson County, Texas and also being a portion of the right-of-way of East Lavaca Street (based on a width of 60 feet) and also being out of and part of that certain tract of land as described in a deed from The Lummus Company to The City of Beaumont as recorded in Volume 709, Page 555, Deed Records, Jefferson County, Texas and also out of and part of that certain called 20,929 square feet tract of land as described in a deed from Kell Jones and G. S. Jones to The City of Beaumont as recorded in Volume 709, Page 580, Deed Records, Jefferson County, Texas and being all of that certain called 0.0413 acre tract of land as described in a deed from The Wilson Holding Company to The City of Beaumont as recorded in Volume 1410, Page 207, Deed Records, Jefferson County, Texas, said 0.7183 acre tract being more particularly described as follows: NOTE: All bearings are based on the Northeasterly right-of-way line of Spur 380 as NORTH 37°06'18" WEST as recorded in Volume 1430, Page 617, Deed Records, Jefferson County, Texas.
