ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THE SIXTY
FOOT(60')RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM FANNIN STREET DITCH
SOUTH FOR 311.42', BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT a sixty foot (60') right-of-way from Fannin Street Ditch south for 311.42' in
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as described in Exhibit"A"and shown on Exhibit"B"
attached hereto, is hereby abandoned.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 4th day of
January, 2005.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORDINANCES PURPOSES
That certain 0.3672 acre tract out of the David Brown Survey, Abstract 5, Jefferson County, Texas, said 0.3672
acres being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Note: The Basis of Bearings is the west line of a called 5.631 acre tract conveyed to 650 IH 10 LP as recorded
in Clerks File No. 2001035222 of the Official Public Records of Real Property of Jefferson County, Texas
having been called South 15 038'00" East 311.48 feet.
BEGINNING at a concrete monument found for the northwest corner of a tract conveyed to John M. Blackwell
as recorded in Film Code 103-46-0709 of the Real Property Records of Jefferson County, Texas and the
southwest corner of the said 5.631 acre tract being the southeast comer of the said 0.3672 acre tract from
which a "X" found in concrete in the west right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 10 for the southeast corner of
the said 5.631 acre tract bears North 89 053'41" East 779.21 feet (called South 89 059'30' East 779.30 feet);
THENCE South 89 053'41"West along the south line of the said 0.3672 acre tract a distance of 62.27 feet to a
'/2" capped iron rod set in the east right-of-way line of Hillebrandt Bayou for the southwest corner of the said
0.3672 acre tract;
THENCE North 15°38'00' West along the said east right-of-way line of Hillebrandt Bayou and the west line of
the said 0.3672 acre tract a distance of 249.07 feet to a %2" capped iron rod set for the northwest corner of the
said 0.3672 acre tract;
THENCE North 57°20'13' East along the north line of the said 0.3672 acre tract a distance of 62.75 feet to a
%2" capped iron rod set for the northeast corner of the said 0.3672 acre tract from which a "X"found in concrete
for the northwest corner of the said 5.631 acre tract bears North 15°38'00' West 27.30,feet (called North
15 038'00"West);
THENCE South 15°38'00" East along the west line of the said 5.631 acre tract and the east line of the said
0.3672 acre tract a distance of 284.12 feet (called South 15°38'00' East) to the POINT OF BEGINNING and
containing 0.3672 acres of land, more or less.
