WHEREAS, on May 6, 2003, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 03-096 awarding a contract in the amount of $2,256,555.75 to
Allco, Inc.,for the Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract
VIII Project; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was required for extra work to furnish and install
1031 linear feet of 10-inch sanitary sewer pipe, 1195 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer
pipe, 59 service line connections and 12 manholes increasing the contract amount by
$123,579 for a total amount of$2,380,134.75; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is required for extra work to furnish and install
7,740 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe, 135 service line connections and 70
manholes increasing the contract amount by$423,955 for a total amount of$2,804,089.75;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2
in the amount of$423,955 increasing the contract amount to $2,804,089.75.
