Naaman Woodland (Vice-Chairman) , Mrs . .Marion (Betty) Rienstra, and Hiss Louise Loomis to serve as members of the Library Commission for two-year terms expiring November 1 , 1980, was approved on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Evans . Question : Ayes : All '_`Mayes : None Mayor Meyers : "I would like to just take a second on behalf of Council to express our appreciation particularly to the three people being reap- pointed here today. They have really been dedicated servants of our community and their work on the Library Commission and we certainly want the record to reflect our appreciation for the service they provide. " -000- Resolution 79-61 accepting bids and authorizing the purchase of water ser- vice supplies from The Rohan Company, Golden Triangle Pipe & 0 7ater Supplies and Western Pipe & Supply Company was approved on a motion made by Council- woman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Combs. Question : Ayes: All Nayes : None -000- Resolu ,ion 79-62 accepting the bid of Lincoln 'Telding Supply Company, Inc. for furnishing a welder (trailer-mounted) for use in the ?Hater Utilities Department at a cost of $2, 858. 00 was approved on a motion made by Council- man Evans and seconded by Councilwoman r,lcGinnis. Question : Ayes: All Nayes : None --000- -26- February 13 , 1979 Resolution 79-63 awarding maintenance contracts to Beaumont Elevator Service for elevators in the Beaumont Public Library (4-1-79 to 3-1-80 at $75. 00 per month) , The City Flail (2-13-79 to 3-1-80 at $150. 00 per month) , and the Civic Center (5-1-79 to 3-1-80 at 3147. 00) and to Dover Elevator Company for an elevator in the Police Building (2-13-79 to 3-1-80 at $150. 00) was approved on a motion made by Councilman Combs and seconded by Councilman Evans . Question : Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- A request for payment of invoices in the amount of $3 , 178. 84 from A & H Asphalt Company for materials used for the paving of Gladys Street was considered. These materials were found to be faulty and had to be removed from the street and new materials placed. Payment for these invoices was denied by Staff . Mayor Meyers made a motion to approve payment ; Council- man Evans seconded the motion. Question : Ayes : "Mayor Meyers Nayes : Councilman Combs Councilman Evans Councilwoman McGinnis Councilman Williams -000 Resolution 79-64 accepting a bid of American Employers Insurance Company through Sol L. y'Tisenberg Insurance Agency for providing fire , extended coverage, vandalism and malicious mischief and special extended coverage endorsement #222 for a three-year term with $100, 000 per occurrence de- ductible at a total premium of $123 ,480. 00 was approved on a motion made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis .
