The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Evans. -000- The Minutes of the regular City Council session held November 30, 1976 , were approved on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Evans. Question: Ayes : All Nayes: None -000- Resolution 76-346 authorizing the award of a bid for furnishing periodi- cal subscriptions for the Beaumont Public Library to McGregor Magazine Agency (180 magazines and 12 newspapers - $2 ,766 .52) was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis. Question: Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- An ordinance authorizing the City' s participation in enhancement benefits with the Texas Municipal Retirement System was held for action one week. -00O- Resolution 76-347 authorizing repairs to the power shift transmission of a 1970 Model International back hoe used by Sewer Maintenance at an approx- imate cost of $1,975. 00 was approved on a motion made by Councilwoman Mc- Ginnis and seconded by Councilman Evans. Question: Ayes: All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 76-348 authorizing the purchase of final drive parts for City dozer #50-0644 , a 1963 Allis Chalmers Model H.D. 11 to Fogel Equipment Company ($3,000. 00) was approved on a motion made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis. Question: Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 76-349 authorizing the settlement of the City of Beaumont vs. Business Properties, Inc. (East Lucas Project) was approved on a motion made by Councilwoman McGinnis and seconded by Councilman Evans. Question: Ayes: All Nayes : None -000- -194- December 7 , 1976 Resolution 76-350 authorizing the execution of a release of judgment to Sammie Moore ($708. 45) was approved on a motion made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis. Question: Ayes : All Nayes : None -000- Resolution 76-351 authorizing the release of weed liens against Joseph A. Lafedge ($55. 00) , Autrey L. Moore ($95. 00) , B. B. Barkley ($55.00) , Gulf Building& Loan Company ($55. 00 & $55. 00) , Louise Clesi Estate ($15. 00) , Miriam Alexander McClure ($115. 00) and Waurine Washington ($15.00) was approved on a motion made by Councilman EVans and seconded by Councilwoman McGinnis.
