HELD NOVEMBER 21, 1974
LE IT REMEMBERED that the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met in
special session this the 21st day of November, 1974 , with the following present.-

An ordinance conveying to the Beaumont Independent School District the Multimax
Tract in exchange for the Pipkin, Pennsylvania, and Bethune School sites (the
Bethune School site will contain a reservation that the school district may use
it for classroom purposes up to fifteen years from the date of conveyance) was
considered:
ORDINANCE NO. 74-71
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BEAUMONT INDEPEN-
DENT SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREBY THE CITY WILL CON-
VEY A 15.174 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE MUL-
TIMAX SITE TO THE BEAUMONT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN EXCHANGE FOR THE PIPKIN SCHOOL SITE,
THE PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL SITE, AND THE BETHUNE
SCHOOL SITE.
The ordinance was approved on a motion made by Councilman Cash and seconded by
Councilwoman McGinnis. *

to the School District was considered :
ORDINANCE NO. 74-72
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GENERAL WARRANTY DEED TO THE BEAUMONT
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT CONVEYING THE PRO-
PERTY DESCRIBED IN ATTACHED "EXHIBIT A" .
The ordinance was approved on a motion made by Councilman Cash and seconded by
Councilwoman McGinnis.
