HELD MAY 3 , 1974
BE IT REMEMBERED that the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met in
special session this the 3rd day of May, 1974, with the following present:
HONORABLE: Ken Ritter Mayor

Absent: George Dishman, Jr. Councilman, Ward II

An ordinance concerning a transfer of land to the Texas Department of Mental
Health and Mental Retardation was considered:
ORDINANCE NO. 7434
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAY TO EXECUTE
A DEED CONVEYING 9. 814 ACRES OF LAND TO THE TEXAS DE-
PARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A WARD BUILDING AT ITS
BEAUMONT STATE CENTER FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
The ordinance was approved on a motion made by Councilman Williams and unani-
mously seconded by Mayor Ritter, Councilman Cash and Councilman Evans.
