HELD SEPTEMBER 27, 1973
BE IT REMEMBERED that the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, met
in special session on the 27th day of September, 1973 , with the following
present:

The following resolution was introduced and read:
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on August 30, 1973, the City Council received bids on
Contract No. 1 of the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Program, CIP Project No.
11-SU-01 (WPC-TEX-975) ; and,
WHEREAS, Bayshore Constructors submitted the lowest and best bid
on said contract in the amount of $920,510.00 with 300 calendar days to
complete the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the said Contract
No. 1 should be awarded to Bayshore Constructors if the City can obtain the
concurrence of the Texas Water Quality Board and the Environmental Protection
Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That, conditioned upon the approval of the Texas Water Quality Board and the
Environmental Protection Agency, the bid of Bayshore Constructors in the
amount of $920, 510. 00 for Contract No. 1 of the Sanitary Sewer Interceptor
Program, CIP Project No. 11-SU-01 (WPC-TEX-975) , is hereby accepted; and
the City Manager, conditioned upon the approval of the Texas Water Quality
Board and the Environmental Protection Agency, is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Bayshore Constructors for the construction of said
Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Program, and the City Clerk is authorized to
attest to same and to affix the seal of the City thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the 27th day of September, 1973 .

Mr. Schaumburg made a report of the status of the grant (a copy of which was
provided each Councilman) .
A motion was made by Councilman Evans and seconded by Councilman Dishman to
pass this resolution.
