WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Gerald Cerda v City of Beaumont, has been discussed in
an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, November 16`h, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of Gerald
Cerda v City of Beaumont in the amount of$110,000.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 23rd day of
November, 2004.
