WHEREAS, bids were received fora one(1)year contract for the purchase of sludge
dewatering bags for use at the Water Reclamation Plant; and,
WHEREAS, Geotek Industrial Distributors, Inc., Houston, Texas, submitted a bid at
a unit cost of$9,860 each for an estimated total contract expenditure of$197,200; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Geotek Industrial
Distributors, Inc., Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Geotek Industrial Distributors, Inc., Houston, Texas, for a one
(1) year contract for the purchase of sludge dewatering bags for use at the Water
Reclamation Plant at a unit cost of$9,860 each for an estimated total contract expenditure
of $197,200 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 28th day of
September, 2004.
