HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 04-064 ORDINANCE NO. 04-064 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A SELF-STORAGE FACILITY IN A GC- MD (GENERAL COMMERCIAL-MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING) DISTRICT LOCATED AT 8161 EASTEX FREEWAY IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City Council forthe City of Beaumont desires to issue a specific use permit to Adam's Storage to allow a self-storage facility in a GC-MD (General Commercial- Multiple Family Dwelling) District located at 8161 Eastex Freeway, as shown on Exhibit"A" attached hereto; and, WHEREAS,the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter described conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That a specific use permit to allow a self-storage facility in a GC-MD (General Commercial-Multiple Family Dwelling) District located at 8161 Eastex Freeway, as shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, is hereby granted to Adam's Storage, its legal representatives, successors and assigns, subject to the following conditions: ► The lot being graded to drain towards the street and not onto adjacent properties. (City Engineer). ► Some buildings modification may be required to insure internal traffic circulation. (Traffic Manager). ► Separating the neighboring residential properties from the commercial property by landscaping and screening. Section 2. That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued forand in accordance with each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "C" and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3. Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use of the property herein above described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended. Dyches Survey, Abstract No. 17, Jefferson County, Texas, said 1.70 acres being a portion of Lots 1 through 6, Block 2 and a portion of a 30' Lateral of the Suburban Acres Addition, a map or plat of which is recorded in Volume 8, Page 202 of the Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas and a portion of a 0.366 acre tract out of the said W. B.
