WHEREAS, Charles G. Hooks III and Sue Ann Hooks, Co-Trustees of the Trusts
established under the Last Will and Testament of Charles G. Hooks, Jr., deceased, have
conveyed a 16' x 510' (0.187 acre) tract of land to the City of Beaumont on property
described as being Lot 28, Block 15 of Calder Place Addition, and located adjacent to and
between a 30-foot drainage ditch belonging to Jefferson County Drainage District No.6 and
a 20-foot City utility easement, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the conveyance of said tract and is of
the opinion that the delivery and receipt of said tract is necessary and desirable and that
same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the tract conveyed by Charles G. Hooks III and Sue Ann Hooks, Co-Trustees of the
Trusts established under the Last Will and Testament of Charles G. Hooks, Jr. is hereby
in all things accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the 24th day
of August, 2004.
